About Dave Girling

Dave Girling (DRE License #01852613) brings over 30 years of financial services industry knowledge and experience to his current role as a Realtor® in Newport Beach and the Desert Communities. He formed Girling Real Estate Investment Group with his father in 2008 and the firm is now affiliated with VILLA Real Estate. His background, combined with his experience as a real estate investor, has prepared Dave for his current role as a Realtor® with Girling REIG. Dave is teamed with his father Bing who has been selling real estate in Newport Beach for over almost 40 years. In addition to his real estate investment experience, Dave has held a variety of senior executive positions in a wide array of disciplines in mortgage origination, mortgage technology and real estate finance.

Dave served as a Commissioner for the Newport Beach Harbor Commission for 8 years. Dave also completed his third term as Chairman of the Government and Political Affairs (GPA) Committee for the Newport Beach Association of Realtors® (“NBAOR”), serving from 2010 through 2012. He was named Realtor® of the Year for the Association in 2010, and he followed in his father’s footsteps serving as President of the Association in 2015. Dave served as a Director on the NBAOR Board until December 2016.

Dave earned his MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.

Dave has been rowing on indoor rowers for over 12 years, and he was an indoor rowing instructor for Equinox Sports Club in Irvine. Dave served on the Board of the Newport Aquatic Center, (“NAC”) from 2014 to 2016.

Dave now lives in La Quinta with his wife Lisa.



Dave and I are colleagues at Villa Real Estate and we have worked together on real estate transactions both as co-listing agents and on a referral basis. Dave’s knowledge of the industry, particularly as it relates to the the data and analytics of the local real estate market is tremendous.
